Understand Our Community Guidelines
We’re doing something a bit different here with ImmiSocial. We need everyone’s help to keep this emerging community as valuable, authentic, and safe as possible. This means a few rules of the road:
There are plenty of places online where we can dole out guesses. We want to instead foster an environment where healthy debate is encouraged and everyone is open to sharing their questions, stories, and perspectives. Our goal is to tackle big questions and work together to discover all of the potential answers. That can only happen when we are committed to collaboration and true knowledge sharing.
Please be kind and constructive when you add a new post, ask a question, or comment on someone else’s contribution. Snark or spam will be deleted immediately.
We love it when our members share links and resources. If you do, add some commentary or give us some context so that we can understand more about why you care about this particular topic or article.
Nothing builds a beautiful conversation faster than sharing your stories, knowledge and experiences, and nothing shuts one down faster than just posting baseless stuff without context.
While we all love a little self-promotion (this is still the Internet after all!), for everyone to get the most out of ImmiSocial, please don’t just mindlessly post unwanted links/work. A good rule of thumb is that if you are tempted to add something about “work from home” or use ALL CAPS, don’t post it. We do encourage contributors to expand their reputation and network through ImmiSocial. A great way of doing that is by ranking on our Leaderboards.
There are plenty of places you can spend your time today where trolling is going to get you a lot more attention. If you’re tempted to troll here, head on over to those platforms first and get it out of your system.
If you see a post in the feed the violates these guidelines, flag it! Our Community Mods will step in to contact the member privately or remove the offending post.
We’ve intentionally kept our Group Guidelines page as the landing page for each group. Please make sure you go through those guidelines so the group remains clean and valuable for all the members.
